A Yeye gets married! :)

Becca, a longtime friend of my lovely Ate, got hitched last December 2009. It was a fun wedding because most of my sisters old friends were there. They were all practically my ates since grade school and now, I was part of the most important day of one "Yeye's" life. (They call themselves, Ye-yes...a rogue version of the Divine Secrets of the YA-YA sisterhood...haha!) Becca left a lot of the designing up to me during our planning process. What she made clear was that, she wanted something modern, clean and not at all frou frou.

I wanted Becca to feel like the beautiful woman that she is by putting her in a form fitting dress that had a lot of linear details. Her dress was made of an ivory colored bridal satin, and alabaster organdy. The bottom of her dress had rows of light illusion tulle ruffles. I took inspiration from buildings in the city and incorporated their linear and sleek look to the gown of the bride. I absolutely adored that fact that she look hot in it! yahoo! :)

We chose a metallic sea foam green for her bridesmaids, and a sleek titanium for her maids of honor and flower girl. These colors complemented the modernity of the bride's gown without looking too cold and unromantic.

Fabulous.

Congratulations becbeccccc! :P Mmmmwah!

note: I posted a pic of my gorgeous mother, Abby. She was a 'ninang' at the wedding. Check out her ferocious metallic gown! :)
